Attending a support group in person can be helpful as you make the decision on where you would like to have your baby. Groups are usually informal, children are welcome and partners encouraged to come too. Partners can benefit greatly from listening to real life accounts of homebirth and are able to have their questions answered and often their fears allayed.
There a many support groups around the UK set up by mums, midwives, antenatal teachers, doulas and other willing volunteers who are passionate about supporting families through their journey to birth, where ever that may be.
There are detail of some of the groups who are active on Facebook here on our page in the notes section.
This list is from the Homebirth UK group – we can not vouch for its absolute accuracy so if you are unable to get a response from a contact listed here, please do get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to connect you with someone locally.
